Concrete OverlayThis is called "Knock Down" or "Egg Shell"
The application for this is as follows:
- acid wash the actual concrete
- apply one coat of thin finish as a base
- apply one coat of knock down (egg shell)
- apply two coats of sealer
This process can be accomplished in two different ways. First type and most common is done on new concrete. This process some limitations such as stamp loosening. Therefore, we recommend after pouring new concrete waiting at least two weeks to apply and overlay with a stamp.
